This kind of thing has always been the hardest for me to write. I never really know what to say about myself. Where do you start? What do people want to know? What do people not want to know? What should I not tell people? Over the years I have been described in many ways, some complimentary, others not so much so. It all depends on whom you talk to and when you talk to them, I suppose. Some of the things I have had said about me are that I have a ‘quirky sense of humor,’ ‘a vibrant personality,’ and am a ‘take charge’ kind of person.

A few things I can definitely say about myself are that I am an intelligent person with a great deal of love to offer the right person. When I love someone, I love her totally and unconditionally no matter what happen, no matter what they say or do to me. The people that I love, I forgive them as they hurt me. I tend to look at life in a different way than other people at times.

There are a number of things that I am passionate about in life, of them the things I am the most passionate about are sharing my love with that special person and making them the center of my world. I am also very passionate about helping others and trying to make a difference in the world. The areas I most want to make a difference in the world are reducing stigmas about mental illness and raising awareness and money for research. The one mental illness I want to raise awareness for more than any other is Borderline Personality Disorder.

A number of people influenced my life over the years, but no one has had a bigger impact on my life than my friend Anne. While her and I have never met in person and never even talked on the phone, she has changed my life more than anyone else has. She helped show me how strong a person faced with difficult challenges can be. She also showed me how important and how much help having someone that believes in you during the hard times of your life is. Of all the people that have come into my life over years, Anne is the only person I admire.

There are so many things, in this world, that I am thankful for even if at times I tend to forget that I do have them in my life. I could not name all the blessings I have in my life. Of all the blessings I have in my life, the ones that I would say I am the most thankful for are my dearest friends, my family (as crazy as they are), and my ability to share my feelings openly. I am also very thankful that as human beings we have the ability to love and forgive one another. These to me are two of the defining qualities of being a human being.
